HIAS are supporting and leading Computing At School Community Groups across Hampshire. These are free for computing leads to attend and will be chaired by Phil Bagge. We are looking at how we can improve computing science, IT, online safety and online learning by sharing resources, research and teaching tips and combining hands-on experience with advice on assessment and progression.
Teachers are welcome to attend any group but will need to set up a free account on the CAS website to register for a session (it doesn’t take long). Join CAS first (using this link) then click the links on the dates below to register for the meeting.
During 2020 all groups will continue to be held online and we are open to setting up new ones in your area, contact Phil Bagge for details.
If your school wont let you attend in September then still register and I will send you a video of the new resources part of the meeting as well as the slides. If you can only get to part of the meeting you are still very welcome.
Google Meet works on computers, tablets and phones and you can get a free app from both Apple and Android stores. We recommend a PC or Mac as it will be easier to take part fully. Headphones with a built-in mic will make the experience better. You don’t need a Google account just click on the link available when you register.
